Ady:

Are you sure "Woolsafe" wasn't printed on some of the vax shampoos they sell?

Tbh can't see it being on any of their super duper machines for obvious reasons

Think it's for the products not machines although the 2 go together. Woolsafe seem to be losing perspective these days.

Any manufacturer of chemicals can apply to woolsafe for certification of thier product (for which I understand thay pay a lot of money). I do not see this as a threat to carpet cleaners, as at the end of the day the choice is with the consumer as to wether they diy or use us professionals.  I also use prochem woolsafe product when cleaning wool or wool rich carpet.

I will be going on a woolsafe course in november and applying to be a woolsafe certified operator.
I see also in the woolsafe news that vanish have gained woolsafe approval for 3 of thier products.

I was at the NCCA Tehnical Roadshow last Tuesday in Shrewsbury and Woolsafe Organisation was there to give a talk. It is the product (the fluid) that gets Woolsafe certified, and the bigger the organisation the more they pay.

Remember the Which report of a few months back where they said clients may as well use liquid washing up fluid then an expensive carpet cleaner ie us?  Well Woolsafe Org has been very verbal back to Which over that review, so they are working behind the scenes to promote the business of professional carpet cleaners.
