Just wondered is it me am i just a misery.
But i really cringe when custy's ask for facia board cleaning and gutter cleaning.
I enjoy window cleaning and find it to be quick and easy way to earn a pretty good living.
Had a custy the other day ask if i'd clean under storm porch and down stairs facia board, i'd already told her i might struggle doing windows; as battery on my trolley was dying :'(
what i don't like is when the custy says can you just go over that garage door, facia board
Custy" I'L GIVE YOU A BIT EXTRA FOR IT" classic meaning i don't expect you to charge me alot.
I don't like being put in this position but at the same time don't want to fall out with a dececent custy.
Has anyone experienced this or is it just me :-\
Also has anyone got priceing method and advice method of cleaning outside of gutters and facia and soffits.
many thanks lee (i am wfp)

You could print up a simple flyer, and give it your custys, advertising all the extras you do, with prices shown.
That way, you can establish what your prices are for these things without being put on the spot when they ask you.
- Garage doors - £5
- Guttering cleared, and outside cleaned, inc fascias + soffits - from £55 (front and back, 3 bed semi)
Obviously put whatever prices you would charge, and maybe put a disclaimer at the bottom saying that these are for guidprice only?

I always say i have to book you in for extras, as i have a schedule to get through so that im regular and reliable to all customers.
I'll give you a quote and if you happy i can do it next time, and be prepared for it.
then you can give your customer the prices as laid out in the post above for an example.

"If I do gutters or soffits I need to bring my stiffer brushes and cleaning fluids; I can't use this one that I use for windows as it would contaminate the brush and that would spoil your windows. So it's a separate chargeable job which I reserve for showery days ..." etc. ;)

i just give price to custy and say i will do it on one of the damp
wet days, then just invoice them if they are not in on the day

youre doing it right Lee - best to have a semi-misery face as soon as you hear the word"gutter or fascia-board" . reserve the cheery smile for glass only . always price high if you have to enter the gutters is my tip

Someone asked me the other day, smallish job, couldn't be arsed with it, so said £100. Didn't think he'd go for it at that price.
He emailed back saying let me know when you're going to do it.

because i have a four week round on a five week rotation i agree a price for extra works and book them in on the spare week five, works very well for me and the custys seem to like the arrangement aswell
