Title: Starting up
Post by: pread on September 24, 2009, 03:53:33 pm
I'm in the process of starting up my own window cleaning business.

I have been practising on my own house but I can't seem to use the squeegee without producing numerous smears.

Does anyone have any tips? Does it have anything to do with my equipment as the squeegee is a hand-me-down so it may be cheap and nasty.

fit a new rubber and u whould see a difference,  go on youtube and look up windows cleaners and watch how they do it then just practice on your winows and neighbours windows, i found using hot soapy water brings dirty ones up great

Hello Pread,

Its probably a worn squeegee rubber possibly need to replace.

Also get yourself the sorbo squeegee as it is one of the best.

Practice, practice, practice and when you've finished practice again.

Good luck.

Hope this helps at all.
