not powerful enough at 250w IMO
i bought a 400w from screwfix £40
then i bought a 750w from lidl half price £20

because i can only use garden hose i'm gonna get a Y connector and run both.

to get the best out of them they need to use 25-32mm hose. 1"-1.25". but my van is 25m away. and that stuff is not cheap. then where do i put it when i've filled the van cos it wont fit on a reel. i'd need a fire reel

If you only use garden hose then your problem isnt wattage mate (you said 250W isnt enough) surely its pipe capacity.

I got the lidl one but use 1 1/4" and its so powerful its unreal, takes about 4mins to fill 650

using it with a 1 1/4" pipe is great though, i purchased 50 M of it, yes it wasnt cheap, infact it was downright expensive, but its nice to watch the water hammer out of it and be packed up in a few mins

hmm. what did you get matt, the clear reinforced stuff, or the black 'ribbed' pond stuff.

@window licker: yes your right, the pumps are high flow low psi

@RWC
seems i'll have to get some and stop being a tight git, at the mo it takes about 25mins to empty a 210 water butt.  :o

the clear stuff ;)

everything i read on the ribbed pond stuff led me to steer clear of it

this clear stuff i have has really thick walls aswell, which will mean it should last a while
