I don't have specific insurance other than informing my broker when I got my licence and the additional premium for working at heights.

If you are talking about insurance for the actual plant then unless you are buying it, you may be best to use the hirer's insurance... depends on how often you are going to use it.

Hope this helps

Andy

PS - Broker I use is Newstead Insurance.

Not sure if anyone has had this before, ive got a large job to do on saturday this week and the person who im doing the work for is hiring the mewp, will i need extra insurance to cover me or will i be covered with the person whom the machine is hired from.

As long as your 3rd party insurance covers you for working at heights you should be OK. The person hiring the machine should be responsible for the insurance of the plant itself.

you need to check your insurance documents because you will  only be covered by you PL if it is in the documents .
