hi I use an unger teleplus 8 metre pole for wfp very robust a bit whippy at full stretch and heavy but you can replace all parts cheaply.
has done me a good turn.

Yeah go for the one where you can add more sections if needs be.

Sorry to hijack a little......
But, I need to buy a couple of the 10m Unger opti-loc poles pretty soon for some awkward internal cleaning.
For anyone who has experience of these or similar - Would I be better buying these OR a couple of bare 10m glassfibre WFP's and fitting an opti-loc cone to the end?
Regards
Al

Anyone?
-
fishing pole or a kite pole .
-
I remember there being posts about kite poles a couple of years ago.
Have you used them yourself/Do they work?
-
ive not even seen a kite pole to tell the truth ,just heard they are good from KARLOS . i use a modular fishing pole ,its about 9 metres and is good
im guessing ,but id think a kite pole must be strong to cope with the forces on it

Hi RK,
Theres not a great deal in the cost - so thats not an issue
I was thinking more about the usability of them which I guess weight is a factor, I know GF poles start to get quite whippy at that height but I have no experience of the trad extension poles - are they just as whippy?
If its a case of they behave exactly the same but
GF = Lighter but more expensive
Unger Trad Pole = Heavier but cheap
I'd rather pay more but if at that height the ally pole behaves better I'm not scared of the extra weight.

ive got the unger teleplus 5 section.it goes up to 10 metres tho ive not used the last big section yet.i use a vise versa or swivel squeegy on the end cone and a fixi clamp with microfibre for detailing.i find them handy and a godsend in the winter months when its too slippy for ladders.they take a bit of getting used to and im a little slower than using ladders but safer.only for odd difficult windows and 2nd storey i ALWAYS use this pole.if ur TRAD and a one man band GET ONE and practice and practice.look at my back posts for tips if u need them.hope this helps.
