Title: Shurflo pump require priming ?
Post by: Smudger on September 20, 2009, 07:51:18 pm
Hi Guys - have spent the day re organising the van so i can find things more easily etc..

Moved the shurflo pump to a safer place in the van ( ie wont get knocked when loading )  just refilling but as yet no water! pump is pumping etc..

So does this pump need priming ?  if so how ??

also it was mounted upside down inlet/outlet at the bottom (writing upside down) i have now placed this the other way round - i assume this would not effect the pump ??  arrows for water flow are correct.

cheers

Air lock. Should run sideways, upside down or right way up.

The reason (I've been told) they are fitted upside down is so that if the pump was to spring a leak ,it wouldnt fill up the motor part of the pump
