Is it the screen resolution that needs altering?

This might not help you but I have a Microsoft WL mouse 700, it has a scroll wheel between the two buttons. If I hold down Ctrl + roll the scroll wheel up and down I can zoom in and out of  the page. I am using google chrome.

Ahh got it, its Ctrl and + or Ctrl and -, for the regular key board short-cuts for it, but its probably just in google chrome that is works.

I screwed up on this one, I pressed CTRL and the back button on the mouse. My screen turned 90 degrees and I coundn't sort it.
I had to turn the bloody monitor on it's side so that I could read the screen and then googled the problem.
I got out of it by using CTRL and the arrows key. Another hour wasted.

I have exactly the same problem - started all of a sudden about 3 weeks ago and as far as i know i hadn't changed any settings.

If the text box is full - the text I am typing has gone down out of sight.  I have to manually scroll down to see if I typed correctly but if I start typing again it drops out of sight again.

I only happens to me on this forum and only once the text box is FULL..

Any ideas????

what browser and operating system are you using?

Dai, I kind of feel responsible for that, sorry mate, but hey now you have something you can do your mates PC just to wind them up a bit.

I am sure we will now see people with it at the bottom of there post as there signature, like the one that had press Ctrl + F4 for the secret mods section. (P.S. that's joke just in case you try it, it will actually close the window that is open and active)

I sometimes get the text going off to the side when someone posts up a large picture, but other than that not sure. Possibly right click on the desktop go to properties / settings and change to screen resolution and see if that helps it.

Hi
I'm using XP and Explorer 8.  As I type this reply it's out of sight below the text box so I can't see what I've typed.  I have to pull the slider on the right of the box down to see it.  As soon as I start typing again it drops below the box again.  This problem only started a few weeks ago.

Was just about to say there, you could try a system restore if it is too fare back and changing the resolution doesn't do anything, but to be honest you should install google chrome or firefox they are much better, and if you dont like it, you will still be able to use the explorer 8. Chrome also makes use of a spell checker so when your typing in forms it comes up.

Yet I still have typo's  ::)

Firefox was my favourite until I upgraded to 3.5.2, and it's never worked since. I have chrome but My toolbars are missing on it, and I need that spell check.

it happens to me as well just as john walker described. it's really annoying. but i thought it was the same for everyone, so when Ian Giles does them long posts, i scratched my head in wonderment! cos i have to try and say what i'm gonna say before the box gets full. BTW i'm using I.E 8 and xp?
i've got chrome but fell out with it, i'll try it again.
i wont have anything to say now  :-[

I've got one PC running on Windows Vista with IE8 and an old PC on XP and Mozilla Firefox and the problem (post replies moving) started a few weeks ago on both PC's at the same time, so I think it's this site.
