I'm looking for a small flow control valve similar to below to replace the 'Y' connector on my brush head. Someone told me it's easier than keep chasing back for my ez snap tap so i thought I'd give it a try.
Anyone know where I can get one?
-
how you turn it off when pole is up
-
I wouldn't want to. I only tend to turn off when pole is down. It would be in conjunction with a pump controller so just used for on/off.
Everyone works different, thought I'd give it a try.

i can see how this would work. but not given it much thought, ive seen it before.
it saves bending down and searching around for the tap.
but if you wanna save water before you drop the pole it'd be no good.

I never turn off untill pole is down unless a custy interupts to pay or something.

Yeh I dont like the look of that either. I wanna try what I originally posted. Just cant find one and the supalite brush I've got I think has 6mm tubing and the pole hose 8mm. Don't know if that will be a problem.

Why not just stick one of these inline just before the y splitter:

There not really suitable for the type of hose material we use, they don’t grip very well and you can just pull the hose put.
Just buy the hose gardiners sell and that doesn't pull out, well mine hasn't in 4 months

I have a little plastic tap just before my 'y' piece. I bought it it off Ebay and looked under inline fuel tap or something similar. It weighs next to nothing and couldn't be without it (imo)! Its the black one with a yellow numpty! £3.99 i think.

That sounds like what I want Luther. I'll have a look.
Windowwashing, I have one of those spare but it'll be too heavy abtrusive at the brush end.
-
If I had a tap at the brush end of the pole I'd forget to turn it on, I have used a gas valve with inserts held on the pole with cable ties and cant imagine working without a tap on the pole.
Question for Alex would the pure freedom tap suit the SLX ???

Still can't find a small valve anywhere
-
B&Q garden irrigation section at a guess
-
put this before the y splitter, if using 5mm pole hose it will fit nice and tightly

Type in on Ebay 'inline fuel tap' and its the top one, 6mm for motorbikes or something like that. :)

I use a flow valve at the brush head on one of my poles. It's the gas flow valve or the new push fit from Gardiners (Above)
Found an alternative maybe less weight.

The holy grail if the OD pipe size were correct.

Maybe worth a phone call to JG.
Both can also be found on the RO-Man www

ok thanks guys, but I know you can get one very similar to the top picture.
I want it to actually replace the 'Y' piece not be before it

Is the hose a tight fit when pushing it into the holes of the ball valve?
Yes, no problems whatsoever, can't comment on other sellers of the hose though.

Quite a few SL-X owners use the Pure Freedom tap.

I never turn on when pole is up, always down because this would mean leaving the pole unattended for a few seconds or finding the ez snap tap with one hand. I don't want the pole to fall on someone or blow over and I don't want a trigger or similar either. Saying that though I am doing mostly 1st floor. If was going up a few floors I would turn on after so I'll keep my ez snap tap connected as well.
I just want a little tap to replace the 'Y' piece!

I've been using these for months now and don't have a problem. I use it on my hip. Brilliant if you want to renew the pipe - takes seconds. Also gives you the option to whip it from another pole or remove pole sections.
-
i can do that with my ez snap. I don't want it on my hip though personally.
