Title: sealskinz ultra grip gloves
Post by: Dave Turley on September 17, 2009, 08:11:35 pm
i've seen some sealskinz ultra grip gloves in the griggs direct catalogue and just wondered if anyone had tried them?

last year I used the "winter" gloves. they were great, nice and warm, but a bit bulky

thanks

The winter glove is the best they do i`ve tried them all by Sealskinz and found that particular 1 to be ideal for WFP work.

Cheers
Dave.

Might have to try them sealskinz myself. Will be good for kayaking and windy cleaning.

Where abouts in Wolves are you Dave ?

I'm up in Stafford and am down Wolves Sat while I have my tank/cage fitted by The Cleaning Warehouse

I've used them for last 2 years now and they seem to wear a little, the rubber dots on the grips seem to wear out or fall off, but they are reasonably warm, once youve broken them in a bit, got mine from w/c warehouse but the postage was a tad ridiculous :) theres still no holes in them yet though, i bought 2 pairs and where them alternatively in autumn/winter.

The WINTER glove dosen`t have dots on the palm section of the glove it has an abrasive covering on all of the palm making them very hard wearing,i don`t know where all the these glo ves don`t last thing comes from i`ve used them for 2 winters and there still in great condition because i don`t need to wear them everyday only when it`s bitter first thing in the mornings.I also have the new Berghaus 1`s and also used those last winter and they were just as good as the sealskinz if not slightly better because they have draw strings on them.

hmmm sounds like maybe they'd be good for when it's cold but not FREEZING?

my WINTER gloves are still in good condition so I think i'll get some for when it's not too cold
