Hi there, how do you all deal with black faint scrathes left by brush on sills, loads of my jobs have them on as took me awhile to catch on to it, t cut is a favourate im told.
-
I've never used tcut. But upvc cleaner takes it off. And those little lines that look like scratches.
-
Yep I had this and as you probably know it comes from turning your pole sideways and the brush stock sliding along the cill; also if the rubber seal has perished on some older UPVC windows this can leach out and remain in the scratches.
T- cut and UPVC cleaner look and smell the same to me - I've used UPVC cleaner on my daughters car when she lightly scratched it against the gate and I've used T-cut on cills when I did a "first clean" and had run out of UPVC cleaner.

This has just been brought to my attention by a few customers. Like Gold says above I had been turning a new style vikan oval brush sideways to get under the downstairs openers. I thought it was non-marking but obviously not. I don't think the grit I had picked up helped either.
I've changed to a supalite brush now and try not to tilt the brush.
upvc solvent cleaner does remove it as said. The stuff I had stinks of pear drops though and nearly knocks your head off. My van stinks.
Do the supalites mark does anyone know?
-
they should design brushes with bits of rubber on corners, make are lifes eaiser i would say.
-
The older vikan brushes had a red rubber rim all round them that left terrible red smears everywhere. We used to cut it off
