Title: CFR ECO 500
Post by: scotclean on September 15, 2009, 08:52:19 pm
I am looking to buy a new carpet cleaning machine and have been looking at the CFR ECO 500. Has anyone got one or can recommend a machine with a 500 psi pump.

If you go into the main carpet cleaning section just above this section, you will find a couple of threads about this machine within the last 10 days or so.

Been some comments just recently that the vac motors being fitted to Powerflite machines may not be as good as previous. Something to keep in mind.
There are a number of machines on the market now that have 3 x 3-stage vacs and 500/600 psi pumps.
Solutions Cornwall, Alltec, Cleansmart Airfix.
I have the Solutions Scorpion and find it very reliable.

It's a quirky machine all right and will take you 3 or 4 weeks to get to know.

Biggest nuisance is when cleaning any wool carpet or rug that sheds like mad - the first filter gets blocked up and the vacuum power drops off very quickly.

Other than that it allows you to flush a massive amount of water through carpets almost without running dry.  Fill up until float cut out starts to move and then you can clean half a decent sized house without stopping.  For houses with a low water pressure you're not wasting time waiting for buckets to fill either...

Was yours on ebay a month ago? I was very surprised it wasn't sold I'm guessing that it didn't meet its reserve.

Give us a ball park on how much you want?

Shaun

Hi Shaun,
no it was not mine on ebay but yes I was staggered on the little interest.

Mine has 29 hours on the clock. Wonder wand, stair tool, uph tool and 2 x 10meter hida hose.

I paid 3250 +vat.

I would sell it for £2700.

I have one, 12 months old, less than 100 hours and want to sell it.

NO hoses or wands included, just the machine.

Cannot get on with it to be honest, find myself leaving it in the garage all the time and using my Ninja instead. Its just been serviced, nearly one year old, less than 100 hours on the clock. Will be on fleabay soon, if I don't get a sensible offer elsewhere.
