Isnt there a danger of getting the loft space wet with a pressure washer?
-
no more than a WFP, just got to keep the nozzle a good distance away.

god yeh arent they annoying!!...i just go back round the house (with water turned off) and give them a quick once over with the brush (wfp)

Ok Matt ,,,,,was just a thought mate , wernt being a smart arse or anything

I only use pressure washer on frames and guttering now, cuts the time down no end.
fascia and soffits I usually use Truck wash apply it through the pressure washer then give it a good blast with my 25 degree nozzle. then give it a spray with pure water to polish it.
Works a treat.
Plus when you start pulling out all the kit from the van, the customer would be less inclined to moan about how much you charge lol
I have cleaned frames and guttering manually with a trowel and rag, when it came to paying, the customer seemed to be rezentful to pay that amount for using a set of ladders for a couple of hours.

Do you still want to know how to do it?

I put a cloth over brush, put velcro strap around it then dry it off.

I mean the proper way.
-
Is that abnormal then ::)
-
Put a towel over the brush, raise up and wipe over. Okay.

sorry i see the difference lol silly me

I find an old pair of pants fit better over the brush. ::)

Actually I finish off with a damp applicator on the end of my pole and remove all the drips from the underside of the guttering etc.
-
Thanks guys :)
Will try the towel trick as I don't have a PW
-
6 inch applicator with a towel wrapped round to wipe off the drips after i have washed them
-
a bit of topic but id like to now do you lads make more money [ph] cleaning soffits gutters ect than window cleaning ?
-
Mick since having the pressure washer I certainly make more money on the plastics than window cleaning, but the work isnt frequently enough to do that fulltime.
£5 per metre for the guttering and fascias, everage house £80-£90 for about hour and half, I could do it in 1 hour but dry and drag it out a little, don't want to look like I'm taking the p%^*

A lots of the vents I've done have been ful of black dust/muck which has dripped out for ages. Not sure how to overcome this problem - apart from keep away from them!
