any one help i am thinking of geting one of those portable wfp but aint got a clue ,first thing do you have to use pureafied water,or do you have to buy a system ?any thing else ive for got to ask ??? how much are they are they worth buying do you get a pole etc

Ignore any negative comments "dave f" - we all had to start somewhere. But yes; do search for answers too.
Rephrase your question to:
Should I go wfp? Should I go for a van or a trolley? That's always good for a discussion!

now that hasn't been discussed many times before in the last 2 months already - does technology, equipment and opinions change that much? ::)

this forum is supposed to be for all window cleaning issues, i know the same questions get asked time after time, but these are important to newcomers. and should be given due attention. these people are making big life changing decisions and are the future off the window cleaning industry, and the future of this forum. alternatively us old farts could carry on talking about about who can p the highest up a wall and who can pose best in there new shiny van.
ok stepping off me soapbox now, if i've offended anyone or put there noses out off joint, TUFF live with it :)

as a newbe iv read a lot on here already but i think this qustion about wfp will keep croping up as its a very tricky decision,when i get going proper as a newbe i already know i can clean a window/frames very well useing traditional method but while changing to wfp on some tricky top windows make it easier/safer for me its the great unown ? and potential to lose custies that will make people like me think long and hard iv already heard problems on here not what a new starter wants, in fact i wont use it antill i built up a good relationship with the cliant base and than only if thay want to go for the change.

So where is your ansewer to the question asked then, I dont see you helping him, If youve got the savey to find a w/c forum then youve also got the savey to use google and do some searching then come on here and ask the questins
What size tank?
what size pole?
best brush/squeegee/rubber etc?
40/40 or merlin
etc etc etc etc etc
Do you think some of just come on a forum ask the question then go off make a cuppa while those that have done there home work etc to sit back and give away all they know, this isnt a hard question to answer just think it could be put forward better. This is in no way a attack at mick as ill help all i can but when i started I searched 1st then asked the question of which/ what and where to get cerrtain items etc ;D

thanks for all replys negative as well . only ever done trad work and dont know any wfp guys to ask or sort of questions to ask still trawling the net but just thought iwould ask the guys on the front line , but lookes like some just cant be botherd cheers

Dave what do you anticipate as your daily water requirements now? and in say 1 year from now?, what is your TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) from the tap and do you know what your normal water pressure is?, what do you currently use as a work vech and are you thinking of changing it to something else? the answer to these questions will really put you in a better position to see what equipment you may need both now and in a year from now.
As with all things ...you could walk into a shop tommorow and be sold an all bells and whistle system which could be overkill for you and in the same sense you could be sold something that nowhere fits your situation...so having some idea of your possible usage will really enable to you save your pennies...
Just a few tips...000tds water is 000tds water but poles & brushes are not all equal....Scrub, scrub...rinse, rinse and then rinse some more ;D

p.s The whole water purification thing is much hyped but suffice to say the working of it for 'us' day to day is very simple indeed that even I can understand it.

Why do we always get "do a search on this forum" from the experienced members to newbies instead of offering valued advice.
I have only just started posting on this forum but have been following this forum for 12 months to get advice on wfp as ive been cleaning trad 15 years.
Aint this forum and other similar forums here to "give advice" to fellow window cleaners whether new or old.

I think that 'RTFM' is really a point of saying most of that information has been posted and rehashed many times with that information not really changing that much over the past couple of years and as such is contained here and a few well worded searches would prove very informative.
