I have been using wfp for 3 months and on some houses I am still getting run marks and spots. Does the sun have any effect on how it dries? All frames are now spotless as I took longer to clean first time round. Now I am on about 4th clean on the houses and I am still getting spots and run marks on some. I have changed brush head and my TDS reading is 0.0 but I am still getting it. Any solutions please?

Do what most people do on here and never look at them ;D
Perfection is pretty much impossible, just persevere and try to work out where the dirt is coming from - maybe leaching out of the sills or the joins in the frame or maybe dirt stilll on top of the frames. Rinse with the brush off the glass and rinse some more on a hot day.

what is your flow rate Gareth?
I use my system on about 2 litres per minute and I have no problems.
-
i have not a clue what the flow rate is i have a 200 ltr ionic trailer system but iam not shy with the water a always carry an extra 100 spare in the boot in barrells and iam always checkin the tds 0.00.i have watched all tecs on youtube and still the same.

Try turning your flow controller up a few notches and see how that goes.
-
if you have'nt got the frames spotless and your not rinsing enough you will get marks

Frames look clean enough to eat dinner off but, looks can be deceiving i suppose. Tops seem clean to me but its some bottoms. I'll put flow rate up a few notches and let ya know. Thanks for ur posts

i keep my flowrate at 1 make sure you rinse along top 2 or 3 times and from side to side to bring a curtain of water down glass then you should have no probs good rinsing is the key to a good finish

I sometimes find runs on windows underneath those small windows that hinge out from the top. I think that water gets trapped in the space between the frames and waits until you go away before dribbling out.

In response to prowindow, not all windows curtain some bead as you well know. It seems the ones that bead turn out worse but I think windows that open at top of frame are the main culprit of water dripping from behind them. Any ideas on how to resolve or is it just one of those things? Thanks

I always clean the top frames and small opening windows first plus a quick rinse and then move on to the main panes. This gives water chance to run down with any remaining dirt. I then do my main rinse over the whole window chasing the water down.
This works well for 99% but I still get the occasional one with some faint spots.
Good rinsing is the main technique to perfect in my view.

i find these are the worst windows for wfp, ive given up on doing the frames on these just glass now :D

I think it's a local gravity thing. Gravity doesn't work on water trapped in the frame when there's a window cleaner standing there. But the moment he turns and walks away, gravity is restored and it pulls the water down to leave a lovely run mark over your nice clean window.

I'll second what Wally posted.
Also if in the same pic the window was on vent then the water could also get where it aint before, ie inside the rubber seal, in this instance it's best not to get water above the actual glass.
Could also be the customer opening the window the second you move the brush off the glass ::)

with windows lik in wally's pic, to cut down on drips I run the top bristles of my brush along the bottom of the opener (in the gap) prior to rinsing the large pane.
for double openers (or double drippers as I call them), after the first clean only ever do the glass so no water gets between the windows. you can always give the top of the frame a wipe with a cloth on downstairs windows if they need it

My windows are always perfect. Obviously operator error.
-
single openers like the pic above, always perfect, its the double openers i hate, will always run from the gap in the middle
-
scrub rinse scrub rinse and never let brush touch window when your on last rinse

nowt wrong wi rinsing on mate
