Title: Dr Carpet goes international!

Ah.... the power of websites. If I can get the client to phone me then I'm over half-way there.

My rented website from Doug is "carpet cleaners Manchester" so I recently took a phone call. It came up on my phone with the number and  started "00" so I thought, "Here we go again some call centre from abroad phoning me trying to sell me something." But I was wrong!

"......my great aunt lived in Cheadle [posh part of Stockport-Ed] and has died. There are three rugs in her house we want cleaning before we take them back to France where we live. Could you manage that for us?"

(Does the Pope wear a silly hat? [with apologies to any Catholics])

Me: Yes Madam, and would you like it gift wrapped?

Her: That sounds a great idea.

I had a job from South Africa where the owner of a house in Sheffield had students in it and wanted it cleaning, a quick flick of the interweb and there I was waving at them, the  students paid me and I was then waving from my van.

I'm sure someone on here said they had an enquiry from Australia? may be Chris Straker??

germany for me, moving back home to sunny hartford, (just round the corner) weird number. got the job. good old tinternet.

A guy rang us from Dubai last week and booked his rental flat to clean.

Franki Dettori`s wife rang me from Sardinia to book us for a clean in the uk.
Their house near me had been burgled and she wanted all the carpets cleaned.
