Over here in Holland most houses have wooden/painted frames and when cleaning them with wfp...just be extra thorough with the first 2 cleans...not as yet any many real problems.

Cheers
Dave.

Not too much you can really do about it unless you offer to paint the frames for em!
Can ruin your rubber trad and can get all over the glass with wfp
Dump it if you can

Wfp - wash as normal - i.e. on georgian panes top left pane to top right rinse down; middle left pane (s) to middle right rinse down; bottom left to bottom right rinse down. Any visible flecks of paint remaining - rinse down.

When I was trad I'd often pick up flakes on the scrim or blade.

I have one or two like that, and its a nightmare at first but eventually it becomes less painful as you have knocked most of the loose stuff off, but if it is a problem. But I think you really can only put up with it, if you are going to drop them, then maybe recommend a painter, let them know if they dont maintain them they will eventually nead completely replaced costing them allot more as wood rot sets in.

if paint work is iffy i tend to switch to flocked brush softer bristles , means if catch paint it tends not to come off as easy as using stiffer bristles
