Title: Carpet clean Sq ft or Sq m?
Post by: Justen Uff on September 08, 2009, 11:12:44 pm
Hi  we're getting into a bit more office cleaning these days, and we're getting asked to clean a few carpets, not just vacuum.
I just don't know how to price.  I'm thinking of maybe about 30p a sq ft maybe.  Is that good ballpark?  Or is that silly wrong way.

I'd really appreciate some guidance.  I promise I'll never mention money again!

Best way I can advise you is if you can work out how many m2 you can do in 1 hour then you can just work out an hourly rate say £50 for 25m2 then you get £2 a metre.

Thanks for reply Shaun

What I thought really.  I've got to find out what I can do in an hour then.  I wonder if I can get the clients to let me do the jobs then quote.  I suppose that comes with experience.

for me it depends on size,   ::)  if the area is big enough then i will go down to around £1 a sq mtr but then i use a truck-mount and an rx and do around 100 sq mtrs an hour with 2 of us working, do the maths!
