Shop front done weekly (£5). Gets there this morning and the scaffolders are putting it up above the shop to do something to the flats above.
Me to shopkeeper: Not much point in doing them until they're gone. I can clean them but they're gonna be dirty within minutes with all the crap coming down.
Shopkeeper: All the more reason to do them...can you do them daily until the work is finished?

Yes I think I'll have to knock a few £ off. Perhaps £20 for the 5 days?...sound fair?

That's what you call a rare customer who really cares about the appearence of his shop. He knows its going to get dirty daily, but has put the cost aside to keep it looking as best as he possibly can!
Most people wouldn't bother, your a lucky guy to have a customer like that!

Yes I think I must give a discount. I was thinking of charging £20 a week while the work is going on. Bear in mind that it'll be a special daily trip.

find out if he or someone else is paying.
If its him them give a price reduction if not charge full price :P

Fair comment, but we're talking £20 or £25 for a few weeks...does it really matter?
