Have looked in the local supermarkets and cant find a bentley brush anywhere so i can do the diy harris pole.
Anyone suggest where i can find one ?

Last time this topic was aired, they were talking of getting them for £1.50p from Asda.

I think that Homebase and Focus also stock them - but more expensive.
I found an Addis brush some time ago very similar to the Bentley. It had the same Vikan-type thread and similar bristles. The main difference was that the bristles were mono filament rather than flocked like the Bentley.

already made for you :)

If you want to do a good job. That is, clean and walk away confident that all the marks have disappeared, then don't bother with a bentley brush.
By far, the most disappearing brush i have had the misfortune to waste my money on. Though i did like it the 1st month or 2.
The mark2 superlite brushes really do make a difference.
They might seem alot of money but the brush is on the frontline of your business and is well worth the initial investment.

Bentleys seemed OK to me when they were new but they seemed to wear very quickly. Also, the bristles seemed to matt together and bits got stuck in them too easily. They were fine as a stopgap while Gardiners were sorting out a better one and, in fairness to Gardiners, they did make it clear that the Bentleys were only ever intended as a stopgap. A very useful one as well due to their lightness.

m not after the brush head to convert am getting a superlight, its the black screw part that you remove from the bentley that i want. Shame you cant just buy them.
-
Asda and tescos
-
why do you want the black screw thread
-
To convert the harris pole. Ians video shows the bits need ... search you tube for diy wfp
-
go to your local paint and decorating shop and buy a angle adaptor the same as the ones you have on your ordinary poles but the screw thread on the bottom section is designed to fit the thread on a decorators pole ie harris jobs done no hassle

I cant find these bentley brushes for love nore money, so i have taken action !!!
I've emailed Charles Bentley & sons who make the brushes and asked if i can buy some replacements for my brushes that have 'broke' but work 'as good as the day i bought them'
Lets wait and see what reply i get.... I dont care if i have to buy them as it will save me time & any more effort.
Then again i might get them for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)
