I had a look at two of these chairs for a customer today but Im not entirely sure they can be wet cleaned. Can you help?
The only way I can describe them is that they had a velvet appearance to them.
A bit vague, I know.

Looks like a cotton velour. You can tell by wetting a small area and seeing what happens to the pile. If it goes all soggy like a wet rat then it can only be dry cleaned. If the pile bounces back and doesn't look any different than when it is dry it will probably be acrylic and will be ok to wet clean. Cotton velour can be carefully wet cleaned but the pile needs to be dried and groomed constantly whilst drying which is such a pain its best not doing them.

Blimey John, you're the same as me - You've obviously got nothing better to do on a Saturday night!
Thanks for the prompt reply.

Looks very much like a draylon to me, cleaned many similar without any problems, however if you're not sure, do a test spray on the side or back to see what it does.

Best to test on an unseen bit like the zip end of a cushion
