The painters made the mess on the windows its up to them to clean it off before they leave not lump it on you, or a builders clean for you to clean it off.

You need to get on your ladders, wfp will not shift that!

I have T & C's which cover that - only air bourne mess will be removed on a general clean.

Decorators or builders debris removal (basically cleaning up after them) is extra.

I would refer them back to the painters - why do they expect you to finish off their job??

if they pay for you to remove, then thats fine,

i had a custy who had here house painted between cleans, and the windows were covered ( really badly ) i pointed this out and said she should get the painter back, to which she said i've paid him now.

So we agreed a price for me to remove paint - 2 hrs work.

Cleaning up after builders and painters is a PITA. I wouldn't let the customer assume its your responsiblity to get it off though.

Masking tape will mark if its left on too long or it gets wet. After that the best solution is to leave it till the glue dries out hard and then use a bit of green scouring pad on it but its slow work.

If its on the third floor I'm not going up to scrape it off

I would never go up the ladders to the 3rd floor.
It cannot be done without fixing the ladder to the building.
or you dont follow health and safety procedures.
Maximum height you can go to without having the ladders fixed to the building or another permenant structure is 6metres.

Apparantly B&Q don't stock it anymore. I tried a few weeks ago and was told they no longer do it. Oilflo 141 is great for this kind of problem.
