After being off the road this week with a dead people carrier and LOADS of stress I have now got a motor.
Its a Pegeout Expert 1.9 TD is a N 1996 and done 170K. 8months MOT but no tax
Bought it from a garage, but the owner brought the V5 down to us. He told me the history and it goes like this...
Was a pegeout dealers parts van to start and then went to him. Its been looked after really well at no expense spared. He only sold it cos he's retired. 2 owners then me is really good I think.
It drives like a new car. My brother has a scudo on an S plate and it rattles rotten.
Cost £550 and I didn't barter after test driving it.
Problem is its only a 2 seater and its go to work as the family car till the end of the year (kids love it). So I'm getting one of my window cleaning customers who owns a commercial vehicle conversions business to fit two seats in the back for the kids. Am ordering a 400L system on mon / tue, so they can fit me a cage for the tank while its having the seats done.
Oh happy days ! Feel like my business is really taking off now, even though I've been forced to get this I think its a good move forward.
Oh and I put my motor on ebay last night and have just accepted an offer that is £50 short of what I paid for the van. But if they have the tax too I'm evens :) :) :)

It's a great van, i've got a scudo. Your enthusiasm and excitement are impressive.I think you're going to do well. Good luck.

-
good van ihave a scudo and can't fault it
-
Thanks guys :)
Have had to have help with the funding though, so need to pay back cash becuase the seats are costing me more than the van. But with a system in it ill be able to take on more work and get it paid back like i have agreed.
Going to really look after this van. Its booked in for a spit n polish at JP's child labour car cleaning company tomorrow :P so should look better.
Will get up some better piccys tomorrow, want some advice on positioning of the tank ect
Anyone got one of these with seats in the back & a tank or know anyone who has ? piccys would be great

the front passenger seat will come and and can be swapped for a double seat ( so 3 in the front )
the shell also is made as a taxi, called the E7, so have a google and you will get the idea of the layout
ref the rear seats, if you have to get them, ebay coach seats, plenty with 3 point seat belts build it, you just then fit them to runners on the floor and though the chassis ( though you have some1 to do that )

Would the log book then need to be updated and insurance details changed?
-
yes it would ftp

it dont nead to be bolted in shasy it just neds a plate under the floor of eche bolt ,glad youv bak on the RD

After you've owned it a year you can go for the scrape scheme

Worth checking if it is due a cambelt change soon. With the mileage it could be due a second one if it has not recently been done.

window wipers.
nice one, looks nice van.
Had quite a bit of bad luck with my 8yr escort van :(
I feel your pain ;)
regarding fitting extre seats in van where do you find out about this and will insurance companies except this as i wouldn't mind getting an extra seat in my van, dare say not worth it in my old jallopy ;D
But if i got say a ford connect van i was wondering about an extra seat in back.
I know new berlingo and partner have fold away bench 3rd seat but don't know if this is comfortable for me 4 yr old daughter and mrs?
thanks lee

Have checked the cambelt today along with all the levels, oil, lights, tyre tread & heater.
They are spot on ! tyres havent done many miles at all and the cambelt hasnt done anything by the look / feel of it
This motor really has been looked after. Am going to go through all the papaerwork tomorrow and look to see what its life story is like.
Im really shocked (in a good way) how good this motor really is for 13 years old. There are 2 very small spots of rust that i have notice, 2 slights dents and say about 6 small scratches. Nothing noticeable unless you get up close and personal though.
She could do with a new drivers side wing mirror as the plastic is cracked and missing a bit and glass on both sides is cracked.

Thanks Lee,
Check out this site for what seat conversions you can buy and bolt
http://www.vangadgets.co.uk/van-seat-conversions.htm
I have decided to not bother with the ones in there and get some ex coach / minibus seats and get the guy who is fitting my tank & cage to do the seats at the same time.
Minibus / coach seats will set you back about £100 including your petrol from ebay. Call a fixing kit £30 and your saving alot of money from buying from that website. Though it will give you an idea of what will go into your desired motor before you get it.
Im sticking 2 extra seats in the back of mine
