just been on thier site having a look why dont they sell backpacks ? they sell everything else is there a reason...

To start with we didn't sell backpacks as I do not believe they are a good long term way to work (hassle, back strain, etc). I have now found one or two uses for them on occasional walk through contracts but have not got round to deciding which overseas supplier to source from. Personally, the current suppliers of backpacks are pretty competitive on pricing so I see no real urgency to rush into the market.

Only handy for a very very small number of jobs. To use a backpack everyday is quite simply rubbish, but many would disagree. Van mount is the way to go. :)

I have just bought a backpack from WCW, decided on a backpack as a low cost way to start up, but also bought a pole (albeit an 'entry' level pole) and some other bits, now I have to say if Gardiners had sold the backpack (at a similar price) I would probably have bought it from them, purely based on the good recommendations gardiners receive on this forum. I know I may only be one customer and not spending a lot of cash but if there are others out there wanting a backpack too, gardiners might loose out on sales of poles and other products as customers have to go somewhere else for the backpack and get their other equipment from that company while they are there!? That said if and when I want to get a decent pole I will probably buy it from gardiners, again based on the recommendations on here.

I wish gardiners sold trad gear too :o Even if it was just rubbers & soap, we could shop in one place then! ;)

The guys have a point Alex, think on the above comments it should be looked into.
I run my business via a backpack at the moment. I tried carrying it on my back but found it easyer to carry. Just because its a strain on your back carrying 16L of water doesnt mean it cant be put on a small trolley with decent straps and sold that way ;)

When I was landscaping used to walk around with a 25 litre sprayer on my back all day, spraying commercial planting schemes, you guys should be able to wear 2 backpacks at once, come on you woosies ;D

thats why i had a look on the site to see if they sold backpacks as would have preffered to buy from them..
