i need a breather on my tank, and thought i would kill 2 birds with one stone...
put a male hoselock connector in the lid or top of the tank, which can act as a breather, and also an easier solution for filling, rather than unscrewing lid, dropping hose end in and letting it fill...
thoughts?
(surely i can't have sussed something for myself...surely not?!)

Sounds OK to me.

I don't have a tank (newbie trad only) but have used the white tanks that window cleaner use for years in valeting, if you have a white tank with large black screw on lid they have a vented bit in the cap.
If a tank didn't have a vented lid/vent the water wouldn't come out, it'd vacuum on itself, so all tanks must have a vent when sold even if it isn't the white baffled and black cap type.

it doesn't have a breather in the cap, i know it should, but it doesnt lol!
alex...thanks! whats your email, i need to email you regarding my set up, and correct plumbing of it...it looks a mess at the minute, and i want to tidy it all up.

Mine didn't have a breather - I drilled a hole and glued a John Guest push fit connector in place and stuck a length of pipe in it.

exacly what i have had done on mine the hose goes to my van ports on my bumper and i fill up from there and yes it also acts as a breather
i also blocked the original breather on the tank which seemed to leak all over when my tank was full now if it wants to leak when nearly full it goes up the pipe and out the vanports

We have only ever sold a single trim mono-filament Super-Lite brush. We do sell a flocked Super-Lite brush but this is in dual trim which we find to have superior cleaning action to a single trim flocked.

Cheers Alex.
Ill order the dual trim flocked brush in a few days.
Sorry for the hijack.

i have done the same but i have 2 . one is got a tap on that i connect to fill up and the other one i just open tap while i am filling to allow as a breather. it works great.
