ive just got an 85amp 12volt leisure battery to run 2 wfp`s. is it important to keep the battery dry. the only place i cud put it is in the back of the van,and sometimes the connections between my hose pop apart and wet everything. my thought is to put it in a cooler bag to keep it dry and then feed the wires in. is this the best thing to do.
ps. wots the best way to stop my damn hose coming apart in the first place. ???
thanks.

thanks 4 all the advise but today i learned that a battery is still ok even when it gets wet. while filling the van up the hose fell out of the tank and wet my battery for 45mins while i was in the pub having my bate. and the battery still worked. i came home early though cos i had no water :'(

Give the terminals a good sprey of WD40 every so often.

I used a battery on a trolley that was outside the vehicle for three years, Put a little grease on the terminals, No problem
