Title: Dosage for Formula 90
Post by: Eddie Conroy on May 15, 2005, 01:38:16 pm
For other newbies like myself it may be interesting to note that the dilution rate on the product is american and when using British Imperial Gallons then the quantities need to be upped by 20%.
Are Chemspec's products all of American origin and is this the case across the board
Regards
Eddie

I think what we buy here are from Chemspec Europe and are in litres. Product probably originates in the US however.

Neil,
Although I have seen the figures, the US talk in terms of 16 fluid ounces to the pint ( we in the UK have 20) I am not sure if the american fluid oz is the same but I UK gallon = 1.2 US gallons, so the calculation is +20%

alternatively
take the 3 oz to 15 gallons quoted to give a 1:640 rate
then 15 gallons x 8pints x 20 = 2400 divided by 640 = 3.75 British fluid ozs
Thanks for your reply
