I am sick of sales calls, get at least 3 a day,was wondering if i registered with the telephone preference service,if this would help ?
Is it possible that i could lose commercial work through it ?
Anyone else registered ?

Im registered both landline and mobile
Hardly get any sales calls now.. I also have TPS member - NO Sales Call on my yell.com advert too just for good measure.
I cant see how you would lose work over it unless they try to sell you something first?
You still get some calls now and then, but take their details when they call, ask who they are and where they are calling from ask for a contact number too - then advise your a member of the TPS and to remove your details from their database or you will report them the next time they call..

I think I am actually registered.... It's just dawned on me that the frequency of calls from anoying sales reps has fallen..... Apart from YP and Thomson of course!

It's worth doing but to be honest the calls you do get will be from those who don't care a toss about TPS. Part of the problem is they are supposed to update their DB regularly and for a lot of outfits their DB is a well thumbed yellow pages. And then of course there are the foreign ones.

If and when i do get sales calls now i just put the phone next to the machine
Something we have in common Clinton !
