Title: better fixing than jubilee clip?
Post by: concept on August 25, 2009, 08:47:19 pm
No matter how tight I tighten the jubilee clip securing the hose to the outlet on my booster pump, it keeps leaking!

Are there any better fixings?!

The problem is more likely the male fitting on your pump, it should be flared or have barbs which allow the clip to clamp down and seal really tight

some manufacturers produce staight/plain ends because there are cheaper to produce

can you unscrew the fitting from the pump?

Its a metal barbed fitting.

Then really you shouldn't have much of an issue,
have you tried the trusty old PTFE tape ??

Wrap around the fittng 2 to 3 times nice and tight so the hose does not dislodge it then tighten the jubi over the tasped area.
