just got some stuff called jizer by swarfega, its a heavy duty oil remover. hope it works. ???
-
Jizer is brilliant stuff, used it for years when I was a mechanic to clean engines etc.
Now I have a question that might include Jizer in the answer.
I have been asked to clean 68,000 sqft of warehouse floor. It is going to be a carpet warehouse ( not Allied!). They want the floor cleaned back so that they can paint half of it and carpet the rest but initially they want it all cleaned. It has been allsorts in the past courier depot, general ware house etc with painted lines on, though they dont want them removed just the floor cleaned/degreased so it has a key so they can paint it.
Any ideas as to how it would be done, and a price. Initially I was going to go over it with a walking floor sweeper to pick up the loose grot and debris. Then.................. no idea really. I was thinking of hiring a walk behind scrubber dryer, and/or as I have a TM buy an sx12 or whatever and do it with that, but I have a feeling that would take forever. Like cleaning an elephant with a toothbrush or similar comes to mind.
Any ideas would be helpful.

have you thought of using a flat surface cleaner with vacuum recovery? tech clean do them below.
Our vacuum recovery system comes with an 18" surface cleaner with vacuum recovery, a 40ltr capacity separation tank to remove solids before they get to the vacuum.
The vacuum is fitted with an automatic pump out to allow continuous working.
All our pressure washers are compatible with this system.

Thanks for your reply Mr Surgeon,
Would I be able to clean the floor with just this system or what products would do a good enough job to get the floor clean enough for painting?
Thanks in anticipation.

yes clean the floor with it maybe some tfr first then wash off ;)
-
Sorry to sound dim but what is tfr?
And who supplies it, how much does it cost and coverage rates?
Also a price for the floor, its enormous, football pitch comes to mind, certainly in length, probably 2/3 the width. The sold board outside says 68,000 sq ft of floor space, so must be true! And the builder has the plans so is fairly accurate.
Someone on here will be able to work out the sq mtrage compared to a footy pitch. As you obviously operate this system how long would you expect to take to do the job.
But I was going in with 2 of us with 2 systems and perhaps a water monkey just in case.
I am going to ring tech clean next week to find out if they have sold any systems to any hire firms. HSS and Speedy dont seem to have it. Any ideas anyone?
Many thanks in anticipation.
