hot water machines seem an expensive luxury. i have got by without them for 6 years even doing graffiti, i dont have the kind of money to be buying a 9 grand hot washer like somepeople :o im a sole trader working on my own. :-[ :-X
its only chewy and some oil stains or paint that you need hot water/steam.
is it worth the major expense?
-
I dont believe so. I have a cold water system but many years ago used to use a Karcher hot water machine. I can honestly say the difference I have found is minimal.
-
anyone else believe the diffence is minimimal?
-
It'd be nice for the winter though,.. surely a hot water machine would keep the operator a few degrees further from freezing.
-
It depends on the jobs you are doing.
You can buy a hot box for about £800, so no need for £9k machine!
For gum and graffiti, hot is best for general cleaning they are not necessary.
-
dont you need a generator aswell for a hot box?
-
either that or get it wired into your van electrics... a small camping genny would do the job though (£100 tops), doesn't have to cost a fortune or take up a lot of space.
-
what hot box have you got?
i must admit i have removed all of my graffiti with cold water so far no problem. ???
-
not sure of the make, had it so long that there are no markings left on it.
Graffiti will of course come off with just cold water and a chemical, but steam will normaly get it all off without a chemical and then only need to remove the ghosting if necessary.
Really quick too!
