Post by: mallie on August 19, 2009, 11:16:04 am
Hi guys,i was thinkin of putting this on a leaflet and i need your opinion from a customers view

Just a thought
Would you let any joe bloggs service your boiler?
No
Then why not do the same for your carpets
Call in the proffessionals

hmm........i'd check the spelling of 'professionals' first.

Add to which, when choosing someone to service your boiler, you have the advantage of being able to deal with the gas safe register (formerly CORGI). To whom will your potential clients turn for a similar back-up? Not being funny, but i can't quite see the relation between gas work and carpet cleaning  ???

I'd put something more along the lines of

When choosing a carpet cleaner you are trusting them with your most valuable asset, your home! Avoid uninsured, untrained carpet cowboys and call the professionals today!

Or

we won't clean your driveway, we won't clean your car, we won't clean your oven, we won't mow your lawn, or paint your fences and we certainly won't do the washing up! But we will professionally clean your carpets. Jack of no trades, master of one. Contact the professional for fresh clean healthy carpets today!

or

You woulnt just vaccum your bed clothes and expect them to be clean! Your carpets are no different. Call the professionals and breath new life into your carpets today!

Just a few different ideas for you as plenty of people will get a joe bloggs in to service their boiler if he is corgi .the key is to put the doubt in their minds about using a cheap & cheerful alternative to a proffessional service I think.

Mark, is that a dig at us who are successful at multi tasking, ovens, upholstery, carpets and as soon as I've done the IICRC course, hard floors, tile and grout ???

Carpet Cowboys ;D ;D ;D I like it!

Ha, not if you do it professionally :) nothing wrong with offering several services but some of the leaflets I get through my door offer all sorts of services on the same leaflet from cleaning your car to pruning bushes! I wouldn't want a gardener cleaning my carpets lol. It's like going into pc world and asking for a bacon sandwich!

No offence intended mr day  ;)
