Title: Dip Tank for Oven Cleaning
Post by: Pristine Clean on August 17, 2009, 06:29:12 pm
Hi Guys,

Well I think I have found a bargain. It only cost me £60.00 I can run it off an inverter from a 12v Car battery or 2.

I have attached a couple of pics. Its faily large. It was used by commercial Kitchen cleaners so I know it can do the trick. It has a brand new heat element inside as well and has been PAT tested.

Its stainless steal I think not aluminium.

Whats your opinions on this please.

Compared to others at ridiculous prices... £600 - £2000 pounds.

Big tank, small 3kw element, going to have to fill it with boiling water first, and may struggle to keep the heat up.

I much prefer the gas ones.

Still at 60 quid its a start,

Andrew

Yes I did know the heater was only small, but I can upgrade the heater element. So I dont think thats too much of a problem. They sell commercial heating elements for around £40.00 that fit easy and its a 12kw instead of a 3kw

Hi Mark,

The chemical is either Non caustic or Caustic oven cleaner. There are many types available. Generally we purchase in 5 litre cans. The Caustic cleaner is faster acting but will damage aluminium.

I hope this helps
