Any ideas what could cause this (with brand new bag in ;D). Its still working ok I think but the light wont go out.
Cheers

Is the suction reduced? If so there is probably a blockage somewhere in the hose or inlet.
Or the filters may be dirty and need replacing. If they are very dirty they will reduce airflow and the machine will think the bag is full.
Hope these ideas help.

Probably a blockage somewhere. Usually best to change bags before they become over-full and cause this type of problem.
They are easy machines to take apart (even I can do it) and your problem will almost certainly be self-evident.

Take the brush end off.
It's probably blocked there. I had it last week. Found a mouse up there. Pesky mice. Now it sucks like a goodun ;)

I found that a mouse had climbed in to my back pack vacuum cleaner (no hose was fitted at the time so it went straight in the inlet and in to the bag).
Munched it's way through the bag and made a nest!
I wonder how many more mice are in vac's...

Cheers lads sorted now - they must be easy to take apart!

Clinton, the little micro switch sometimes sticks and stops the brush rotating.
Pull out the nozzle and about half way down the hole you can feel the microswitch, give it a little fumble and chances are all will be fine again :)

If you havent got a blockage somewhere sometimes the flaps inside the bag around the hole suck up and block the suction. Try taking the bag out and poke the flaps down or cut them out (even better).
All the best,
Jason.
