Title: Personalised Marketing

Recently I've had a number of excellent marketing items which REALLY caught my attention the most recent being a post card from Arnold Clark another from Carphone Warehouse and yet another from Sky Sports.

The Sky one had a football top with my name across the top and team number below.

The C/W one had my name emblazoned all over the place

The A / C postcard had my vehicle registration clearly displayed on a surfboard with the legend below
Service Now Due.

The point is

These are all companies I've dealt with in the past year and they are IMO very cleverly working on CLIENT RETENTION by maintaining contact with a reminder but in a way that makes the client feel good and important to the advertiser.

very cleaver isn;t it, and it works!

However as its not the norm yet, it will soon become a blind exercise as people will get too used to it and become in-effective.
