i was speaking to a customer yesterday about being late, of course its because the weather has been bad
i told them i would be a little late next time as we were off for a week camping in the VW ( if it pass's the MOT, if not, its in a tent )
it got me thinking, my working days are shorter, i didnt start till 10.00 yesterday, as played with the girls for a while
so does your working hours change with the school holidays ? ? ?

I voted "no, but i would like to" but I have so much on at the moment I really cant
-
I always end up not working too hard during school holidays.
They're only kids once, don't want to miss it for the sake of a bit of cash

Spot on! :)
-
i tend to stay longer at the office as i'm not a very good parent and its quieter here :P
-
i tend to start a bit later or finish a bit early
-
my reason for getting into window cleaning was to spend more time with the family. it still seems like a good idea most of the time ::)
-
My wife and kids always seem to be out so theres no point in me getting back early

I used to play with the girls but normally after 10pm. Long, long time ago.

i always try to make plenty of time for my kids, no matter what time of year, in the first few years of have in kids i work all hours and i still was working the doors and really hardly saw them, then one day it dawned on me there is more to life than work, so since then i put plenty of quality family time in, i have had to look hard at my work to try make the best of the hours i work to try max the money side of things, it can be a no win sometimes as we need the money to live , but kids need a father around too,

hate school holidays all the kids about getting under the feet, asking silly questions, parents still in bed
-
I just means when it's my day to have her she's dropped off at 4.30, rather than me picking her up from school at 3.30.
And the following morning her mother picks her up at 8.30, rather than me dropping her at school at 9.00.
So I actually work less in term time.

interesting that over 50 % have voted

I cant work as many days in the week, which is a bit of a pain to be honest, being the self employed one everyone thinks oh matt can just have the day off it doesnt matter, when in reality it does.
-
I don't work shorter hours but do try to take a day a week off in the summer hols. (Hence I might work longer hours the day before and after to enable me to take the day off with the family.)
-
been really hard as we have grand xhildren as well...yes I know I dont look old enough do I
Grandson rather go to work with G and Christeen as more going on. but its boring with grandad. he just snarls and works hard all day.
seroiusly though. My eldest is 11 next summer and he has to come to work to help get this 6 weeks thing sorted. Any one elesd get their 11 yr old on the bottom windows?? 150 years ago he wouod be down coal mines...well acutualy 5 years ago things being the same he would be filling off me down our pit. 30 sqiud a day is a lot

that was my original plan to be honest, do a hour or 2 extra a day and have a odd day off
it just didnt work out like that though
