Keep a little black book, make these people famous. Never forget what he said, and when you make it in this game and are happy with your standard of life, drive a decent car and have decent hols, go back and ask him again if he needs a window cleaner. If he sees the car you pull up in, he will know that you know that he knows........................

Try a different area as this one clearly has a number of low life. Sorry if it spoils it for others in that street but I have found that most people in any particular street tend to have the same attitude to trades people.

One thing you must develop when W/Cing is a thick skin.
I reckon that window cleaning is character building.

Keep knocking, don't worry about naysayers.

Another view to have is that why would you want a job, when you have your own business.
And consider how low must that guys self-esteem be to pick on someone trying to find work. He obviously has issues

And if you are claiming dole stop it! But I'm sure you are not a thief.. ;D

Advice is simple you should have hit him then left. ::)

On a more constructive note, last time I was out canvassing I actually knocked on another window cleaners house he came to the door with his teenage daughter in tow I did my speech he told me he was a window cleaner, then his spoilt brat of a daughter repeated what he said then added and he's got more work than you so there.  funny in a way I guess but it did annoy me and I haven't been out again since. I hate canvassing but you have to keep going and ignore the very few idiots.

yes , it's very annoying :(....but I  turn that angry energy into energy that gives me drive to achieve my goals whether that be money, time with my family, or whatever enriches my life...

and one day you may bump into him in another circumstance or surrounding,... and he may have to eat his words ...lol.

its a funny job ... the better my round gets , the more pride I have in my title as a window cleaner ;D
