Title: 4040 Solenoid shutoff kit. What's needed?
Post by: [GQC] Tim on August 12, 2009, 11:50:54 am
This seems to be the best price by far. Just wondering what's needed still apart from some electrical wires and some blade connectors?

that does look very cheap. i had mine built by varitech. even though i thought it was expensive at the time i'm glad i got it, mine is a solenoid valve mounted in a water proof box with a float switch and a 12v converted plug to go in the wall for it to function. it cost me 196 delivered but like i say i'm glad i got it as it looks very safe

Well I ordered those two bits, I think that's all I need.

I agree it was very cheap, other kits are very expensive.

It's 12v so wired to my leisure battery via a fuse. :)

from using his leisure battery i would have thought van mount..

Otherwise if static you may as well use a 240 ac to 12v dc converter.

Bits arrived today, seems like it's all there, even the threaded hosebarbs, and electrical wire as well.

Bargain!!

(That is, if it works!)
