I did a massive canopy clean at a supermarket this Sunday gone.  I noticed when it was mixed stronger 5% rather than 2 or 3 it did shift stuff better.  So there must be something in it.

Ahh, apart from being a newbie at window washing, I'm an expert at vehicle cleaning equipment and chemicals.

I'd say, be very careful with TFR type products, most will stain glass, and will definitely stain if it dries on anywhere at all in the sun.

A very very good and great value cleaner that works well is Autosmart G101.  If you know any car valeters or garages that buy from the local Autosmart rep (goes round in a truck) ask them to get you some - around £14 for 5Ltrs.  To be diluted 30:1 so goes a LONG way.
Same as with TFR though, don't be tempted to mix too strong, it can easily stain glass.

Sorry to be thick - but how do you apply it and use it?

Ecover is fine for conny roofs outside of guarantee, BUT ensure you use the manufacturers recommended product and methods to clean the roof if still within the guarantee!

Otherwise you could be in the sticky brown stuff!

If you dilute it properly then it might be ok. My stuff is useless at the recommended dilution rates.

its not on the recommended manufactures product cleaning list for pilkington so you will invalidate the warranty..

You better get a disclaimer signed!

Richy
I never touch self cleaning glass without first explaining to the custy about the glass then I get them to sign a waiver if they still want it done after the warning & signing the waiver then I clean the glass as normal using the same ratio mix.

I had one custy saying it was ok for me to clean his roof but when I produced the waiver he wouldn't sign it? ::) He never did get hid roof done.

Don't know why you want to use any chemicals, get the roof wet and the brushes shift it simple enough. Why add to your costs  ???

actually using brushes on pilkington glass roof invalidate the warranty for it - so you better always get a disclaimer signed!

Here you go malc this is how I apply mine and I just wash with a car brush and custy's water for the plastic roof, I do the same for glass roofs but swill with pure afterwards.
