I have it - i cant say its been really worth having but at least i can say i have no criminal convictions compared to other windys in the area..

Its more beneficial for those working on residential homes or homes that have vulnerable adults or children in their care..

For example if you were to work on someones house who was a foster carer or adoption parent, technically you should be crb checked to be able to work at the house!

Roughly,  Standard Disclosures  -  £31 or enhanced Disclosures -  £36 plus there is normally a processing fee for each application around £10

Am I correct in saying you have to ask someone else o carry it out for you as you are not allowed to request your own personal one?

Or is there a way round this?

I think this is well worth doing, and ntend to carry this out very soon.

Do you mean just make up a company name and submit the application?

I was thinking of asking a friend with their own business to do it for me.

Yes I got one, I worked in care for 5 years and my mum runs her own childrens homes so I still get them done when I need it, I get the full one which cost me about £50 a few weeks ago.
