Title: Is this a good marketing idea?
Post by: Craig 72 on August 09, 2009, 02:10:33 pm
Artnoon all.I do a bit of a sideline in removal work and recently cleared out a printers at an industrial estate.I got my mitts on some gear I've managed to salvage to try and sell on ebay, amongst which were 2 boxes full of micro mouses for computers. There's 150 of these things which are on ebay for £4.98.My first thought was to put them all up for sale but then I thought I might be missing a trick.I'm desperately in need of customers at present so would it be a good idea to offer these things as a free gift for each new customer?I bet there are plenty of customers who are interested in a window cleaner but just never get round to picking up the phone so this would give them more incentive.Worth doing or a ridiculous idea?Advice appreciated,as always.

I should sell them on ebay, can't see anyone making the decision to take you on as their window cleaner, because they get a free mouse.
although it might work for squeeky clean  ;D

If I wanted a window cleaner then no a new mouse wouldn't clinch the deal for me, as I said above I could do with a laptop and I'm sure I've seen them on offer with a mobile contract but I cant be bothered, so I'll stay on pay as you go and buy a laptop from Curry's or pc world, may just be me though I'm a nightmare to sell to. ;D

Your Price is to high as if you added postage then one could buy anyware on the high street for less, bribg the price down and up your postage a tad more.Richard
