I think the guy meant there was a problem with the clamps on another of alex's poles and this may not have the same clamps.
I had problems with the clamps on my mk1 slx, kept having to tighten them until there was no more adjustment, so I rang Gardiners, and they are replacing the clamps for the new type and generally giving the pole an mot, they are even lending me a pole to use whilst this is being undertaken, all free of charge, now thats what i call service.
OK i hear you say, if I paid that much for a pole and it had faults i would expect to have it fixed for nowt, try that with Brodex, the reply I got from them when my pole was faulty after a mere 3-4 months was to araldite it!
No I am not knocking Brodex products as I have/had 6 of their poles, but now we mainly use SL2 and SL-x's. and the after sales service is the bit that counts if something goes wrong.

We have been so busy shipping the poles out that we had not gotten around to having photos of the Super-Max poles taken. I have now remedied this as is shown (photo shows the Super-Max47™). The clamps having the incorrect barrel nuts only affected the SL-X poles as the Super-Max poles were slightly behind the SL-X poles in production. All SL-X poles are now to the correct specification. I agree that it is quite a lot of money to pay for a pole and desire to know how they perform is natural. I think that most of the purchasers so far have been 'off-forum' hence the lack of feedback.
We currently have the 40 and 47 versions in stock, we did have the 44s in, but they were all pre-sold to clients and distributors.
I have personally been using a Super-Max44 for about two months now and find that due to its low weight and compact closed length it is as easy to use as a much smaller pole. Whilst it has not replaced my Super-Lite it has proved more suitable for awkward areas and certain 'tricky' contracts. Whilst it is not as light as a Super-Lite pole it is fairly close and certainly a lot lighter than any other high level telescopic pole.

If you like rinsing-on then the Dual-Trim Mono-Filament would be the choice. Personally I like the Flocked the most and even this is pretty good at rinsing brush on. I would definitely recommend the alloy neck as it allows you to use the full length of the pole. A 12" would be a good choice.
