Title: FAKE SUEDE CLEANING
Post by: DanielWelford on May 10, 2005, 01:35:08 pm
Hi

Have a customer who wants her suede effect suite cleaned. I currently operate a HWE system, and am a bit concerned that this process may not be suitable.

Any advice on how best to clean, before I make a pigs ear of it.

Thanks

Dan

Dont worry HWE is the ideal method :)

I've managed to get fantastic on fake suede here how:

- thoroughly vacuum

-pre spray using solutions number 2, at 12-1 ratio

-have two buckets, one with a microsplitting solution and warm water, the other plain water

-with a terry towel from the solution bucket ( well rung ) agitate thoroughly, using eco spotter where body oils are present. Rinse towels off in bucket of water then back into solutions bucket.

-extract with luke warm water to avoid de lamination

-dry towel clean areas to set nap and minimise dry times which should only be an hour or so :)

Hope that helps

Regards

Paul
