Title: how much you earn?
Post by: Niall McAllister on August 05, 2009, 08:10:46 am
with all the "how much" posts, i think it all boils down to this poll question ;D

That's a good question.

I hope it gets many honest replies...

def not enough.....at the end of the week i have the provy woman come round to take 50 quid, the guy that comes round and empties the slot meter on the back of my telly takes another 20 quid, then i need to head into town with my 80 quid bright house money (no credit checks retailer) and then i borrowed 50 quid from big joe down the pub so i need to pay him back 30 quid a week for ten weeks plus interest....its a tuff life :'(

i dont believe in debt........i know it exist though 8)

if i could just get one big loan to pay off all my debts THAT would be unbelievable ;D

Whats the betting that the 1 guy who voted "More than enough" isn't married?!!! :)

Women spend faster that you earn, no matter how much is actually coming in!!

Depends what you class as enough...

I clicked "enough" because my months bills are always covered.
I know what I need to earn a week to stay afloat, and I manage that probably 50 weeks of the year.
Some weeks I have a decent amount left over, sometimes I don't have any.

When something unexpected comes up I can't always manage that week, but sometimes I can.

So yes, I earn "enough", but in some ways i suppose not. ???

I know that's confusing, but I bet a lot of people are the same as me here.

So long as the butler can take the Rolls down to the local petrol station and fill her for me each week .........

So long as the children's nanny is paid each month ..........

So long as the children's private school fees are covered each term ...........

So long as the wife and I are able to pop out to our villa in Florida every other month ( we're out next on Aug 25th ) ............

So long as we're able to eat out every Saturday at our favourite eaterie in Dartmouth ..............

So long as our season tickets for the mighty red side of Liverpool are paid for each season .............

So long as we're able to get over to Nimibia each year in October to catch shark from the beach .............

So long as I'm earning enough to keep the wife happy and myself in a nice lifestyle I guess I'm earning enough  ;)

I voted enough. Having three kids a wife and a mortgage that's an achievement when I only work 3 days a week sometimes 4. Life is good. Well it is now I've had a cold (alcoholic) drink and a dip in the kids paddling pool.

Fully clothed! ;D
Hot day

But.... again this is the same type of topic,..so anyone with any sense will not take this seriously.....

Know one needs to know... its private, for one thing...and no-one needs to tell,

After all ,..you dont go telling every stranger in the area , how much you earn.

Same applies here  ;)

honest it's not that kind of topic, in fact it's the opposite of that kind of topic. I was trying to show the pointlessness of the how much do you earn topic. its all about getting enough for you  and not  worrying about everyone else
:'( :'( :'(

Over the years we have had some real plonkers on here spouting off total rubbish regarding how much they reckon to earn. I didn't believe them then and I don't believe them now.

Keep earnings off the forum.

On my previous work i had a turnover of £750 - £800 a week
After i paid my debts and fees i took £300 wages leaving £200 company profit each week from working 4 days. Thats the truth however i wasnt happy with the growth of the company slowing down so i sold up - Ive now paid my debts, currently starting a new company and starting to grow another wc round. The secret is to pay the bills earn a good living and enjoy it all the way - Why earn more than enough and spend all your time working and not enjoying yourself. When im canvassign now im trying to get as much money out of the customers meaning i get a good income and better quality of life with out spending 8-9hours 4 days a week cleaning

getting by but never gonna be a millionaire but its not all about the money.. if you was to work 7 days a week then yeah but as we all know its not always possible with our weather.. so enjoy what little you do make cos if you didnt you would not be in the game.. nudge nudge wink wink...

It is always about the money, otherwise nobody would charge for window cleaning.

As the question asked are you earning enough? Not how much are you earning.

Our first week 9 years ago was 3 houses at £3.50 each a grand total of £10.50 and that was enough then, it paid for the kids school dinners for couple of days.

It is not how much it is what is enough......my answer is when you can afford to give it away to help others..... ask yourself this, when was the last time you gave a homeless person money or a Big Issue seller more than the cost of the magazine or gave away good work etc etc

Yes you all better believe it

IT IS ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY.

as far as i can see this topic is not about the money......so lets change tack........lets make this post about why some guys have to "go" in a cubicle in the public loo while others have no problems at all at the "sink".......anyone wanna hazard a guess....this is a serious question, and there is a scientific answer by the way 8)

like i said to the lads on Nats forum, i have been working hard all week and decided to open a nice bottle that has been in the seller (tesco) for a few weeks.....a nice bottle of moet.......would be nice......but on my wage all i could afford was a 4.99 bottle of cheapskate cava...anyways i was reading this post and the last poster said its not about the money, which got me to thinking "whats it about then if it aint about the money"...thats when i came up with the age old question of why do some blokes prefer a cubicle and other dont really bother........i heard the answer on a tv show a while back and thought it would be useful to share it :D

i just read all that back ...its not good is it? :o
