Post by: rise@shine on August 04, 2009, 04:13:01 pm
tried the new 60ft brodex super lite pole today and i have to say my first impressions are its as good as the gardiner super lite. Has anyone else bought one and if so what do you think.

No offence to brodex but their poles are inferior to Gardiners so to try and nick the name of a far superior product is a bit wrong. I assume you have the name trademarked alex so hope you sue the backside off them  ;D ;D ;) :o

It's actually called the Carbonlight, so no harm done there.

Brodex is just playing catchup with the Gardiners.

I'll let em off then >:( ;)
Seriously though you make a good point there - they are catching up - which can be only a good thing for the industry. Well done Alex ;)

Not specifically tested them yet, I'm sure they are fine.

I do know that we have the advantage of 3 years of retailing these type of poles which has given us a lot of insight into the importance of seemingly insignificant details. The Super-Lite also has the advantage of having the Super-Lite brush fitted as standard which will make a lot of difference to the handling of these type of poles. To truly compete with the Super-Lite they would need to knock £100 off their prices.

We do also have clients who regularly use them at heights in excess of 70ft.

Yes I would but not on this forum!  I think I'd get in trouble.
