I find it's the same all year round.
I guess I get a few more requests in the spring, but no loss of work in winter.

You tell them they hired you for a monthly( or however long) clean, and thats what you are doing.

Jan/feb and less so march have always been good months for me in picking up good quality work.

ive always picked up work, the low winter sun on glass tends to show how minging the windows are. had a few cancel and i will not take them back, and get loads of one offs just wanting the windows done for xmas/newyear. dont know if its a scottish thing but people are pretty freaky when it comes to an unclean window at the newyear ???

same all year round you win some you lose some for every 1 i've lost i 've another 2 or 3 up

Lose and gain work all year round....its called sorting the wheat from the chaff!
The custies that say "can you leave it for the winter" dont get done again...

I have found that the new jobs that I get in the winter are often the most reliable. In the spring and summer I pick up more, but when the winter comes they start to complain and drop out. Winter may not be the best time to get a lot of work but the stuff you do get tends to be better.
I lose over the winter, but that is because I am in cornwall and I have a large group of seasonal shops in the seaside towns.

i never understand custys who dont want them done ALL YEAR ROUND :o.windows get more dirty in winter.thankfully only got one.as its a caravan park{house and reception}i take them back in march.easy 20quid half hours work but normally i say to them ALL YEAR OR NOT AT ALL ;D

Winter is very different from summer. Short days being the biggest problem, also the weather is worse although given what we are getting at the moment you wouldn't notice.
I have a few customers who say miss me out till March and I am happy to do so, always running late anyway. Reschedule rather than lose a customer, They will never get such a good deal from any other window cleaner. They realise that too!

Generally less in the late autumn through winter to early spring.
But all my custies are monthly/two monthly.
I don't let 'em drop me for the winter but if that was the deal from the start and the money was good I wouldn't mind. It's when they try to change the agreed frequency without plenty of notice that I drop them.

dont lose any in winter still pick new work up problem is dont keep up with the work same in winter

for me winter is better than summer cos 1 iwork better in cooler conditions
2 windows clean better
3 if theres word cup on or euro whatever you have to knock off early ditto tour de france alpine stage got to be back for that.
so in summer you lose so much time with sport to hot too much rain.
also in summer if you drive to a job theres always wallys on the roads roll on dec jan feb ;D
