Ok, this has probably already been done before, but having read recent posts about vast differences in prices around the uk (and further afield), I thought it might be good to see what people charge and where they are based.
So what would your (serious) price be for - An 'average' 3 bed semi cleaned 4 weekly and what county/town/city are you in.
-
£10-£12 Plymouth, Devon, England, Uk.
-
£6-8 in stoke
-
£6-£7 outskirts of leeds....
-
£8 - colchester,essex
-
£10 essex
-
£9-10 South Wales/Gloucestershire border.
-
£8-£10 Including all frames St Helens , Merseyside
-
Squaddies pay for a 3 bed semi here about 13 quid, they are from all over the UK, but there isn't a WCer on every corner, so it's easier to get a good price I suppose.. Also, the houses are mostly only 1 or 2 panes, so easy to do.
-
8-10 west midlands area where i am
-
These threads come up from time to time and I've found that not so much the UK but the same street will show a wide variation.
In a row of forty houses on one side of an urban dual carriage way in Bristol the ave. price for house fronts is as follows:-
W/C 1 £5 He has three
W/C 2 £6 He has three
W/C 3 £7 He has twelve (me)
W/C 4 £10 He has two
Half appear to be not done by a W/C ...
-
scotland 5-6 quid
-
scotland 5-6 quid
OUCH, but you clean when the rain is coming from left to right innit?
-
good to see how prices are different depending on where you are.
Malc, interesting how prices can be so different in the same street, probably shows how little people talk to each other!
-
Stafford £8 - £10
-
£8-£10 including frames and sills cornwall
-
£10 with 1st clean or one off clean £20, Birmingham and any area I am called to.
-
£6 gwent. south wales . up in the valleys
-
in bristol i charge £10-£12 depends on the area in bristol. could be a low as £7 in council areas.
kind regards
paul
-
stafford £10-12
-
£10 west cornwall
-
from £10 cornwall
-
Most of my 3 bed houses fall between £12 - £15 in Worthing.
-
£10 Poole
-
Minimum €15, all new ones are priced at €20 in Cork, Ireland.
-
£8.50 to £12 bristol
-
£8 - £12 - Northern Ireland
-
between £5-£6 county durham ne england
-
12-15 Ipswich,Suffolk.
-
no one from london with a price? i'm assuming london will come out most expensive?
so far worthing and ipswich are most expensive at £12 - £15
and scotland and north east england lowest price at £5 - £6
anyone from North west england with a price - one area no one has posted a price for.
-
Brighton - £12-15
-
2.50 ;D
average up here is a fiver i am afraid.....if you get a run of them that is...like me....i make sure i have a minimum of 30 houses in an area that i can walk around, and they are normally easy enough....if its a one off, or a house i need to drive to do its the minimum call out fee of a tenner.

£10-£12 Plymouth, Devon, England, Uk.
Around the same price here in Somerset
-
€25 - €30 Western Ireland

THis post has dowm a lot of good for this industry as we need to unify pricing in the U K. Thre will always be higher and lower but a differance from 2.5 to 16 pounds is not good for this industry and will stop us from been professions as we show we cannot get our house in order. One will see in highly professional industries eg banking fee are very much standerd. So will down to the fellow who started this post.We should contrabute at least once every 3 months. It is not imortant wat each erns but what we charge and the vo;ue we can produce that counts. THIS WOULD STOP ALL FLY BY NIGHTS THINKING ITS EASY MONEY WE EARN.
-
£7 and would take about 20 mins max Lincs / Norfolk borders
-
£5 - £6 scottish borders 4 an hour ..
-
6 - 8 Edinburgh yep 4 per hour
-
5 to 6 central scotland but i know plenty doing them at 3.5 to 4 quid
-
£5 - £6 scottish borders 4 an hour ..
time for an increase before I get out there, I was thinking of my cheapest price being £6 and a three bed semi about the £8 mark.
Or I am being a bit optimistic there ?

Unifying prices is called a cartel and is strictly illegal.
But more importantly; What's charged in St.Johns Wood (NW London) for a 3 bed semi will never bear any relationship to what's charged in Dumfries for a similar property.
It's a fact of life but people in the south are better paid and therefore can afford to pay more...therefore window cleaners down south charge more...simples ;D

can upload a pic of the house your pricing as i can see certain 3 bed semis getting £15 but your average 3 bed in the south is more like £10
