I have a few customers who are very well off, when I go to clean them they are still clean from the last time.
I feel some customers only employ a window cleaner as a status symbol, like butlers and gardners etc.
Anyone else ever thought about this?

I cannot see it really but then some of your customers may be into that sort of thing....
Cheers
Dave. ;D

Keeping up with the jones' lol

Its more cost effective to keep them clean rather than the windows needing replacing because of lack of maintanence. They arnt rich for nothing.

Ze Gurmans do tend to be a bit snobbish where WCing is concerned. Average price for a German house is quite high compared to UK. Firstly it's always in and outsides, including frames and the inside of the frames too, by that I mean the working parts, hinges and frame wells (sorry, don't know what thats called in English lol)
All domestic windows over here open inwards so no ladders needed unless its a massive picture window. Most times when a new custy asks for a quote, you turn up by appointment and the next door neighbour has spotted you. They may never have had a WC but they ask for a quote too. It tends to slowly snowball from there.
Private WC's here are expected to be relatively expensive. The trade is seen as only for the upper crust or middle classes. A private house here that would take an hour to complete, in this area of Germany would expect to pay around 45 to 55 euros (about 40 to 45 quid I think)
So after all that, yes, I think it's seen as a status symbol to have a WC, from my squaddie/Brit custies, I would guess about a quater of them have taken me on to keep up with their mates at the wives clubs that they have here. You should see the cars squaddies drive lol. ;D

And I thought people just hired a window cleaner 'cause they were too lazy to do it themselves, or they don't have a ladder, or both!!!

If you tell me what it is in German then my friendly butler will do his best to translate, he's bi-lingual you know !

Round here we find it hard to get bungalows as people only hire wc up for the upstairs. Many wipe there bottoms down anyway and many ask us to quote for upstairs only. Its bad when you see stubborn old ladies climbing up step ladders on bungalows when you can see an accident happening - Cant say anything tho cos they are too independant

Bodgit,What, so some of your custies are chinless toffs and drive Range Rovers at the weekend ? ;D
