Title: Bus stops
Post by: Platinum NW on August 03, 2009, 10:51:20 am
I have just been to the shops and there was a guy cleaning the bus stop with a WFP. Just wondering if anyone on here cleans bus stops. Think its a maintenance contract for mitie so its possible to get it subcontracted

Used to do 14 of them around here as a subby, price looked OK untill you see that you are cleaning not just the contents of people stomachs and bladders. Also blood, from punchups I suppose, and lots of nasty sticky stuff ??? The bus stops were all perspex and scratched to hell. When we had finished, you could hardly see any difference. ???

I would think that airport job sounded good though.

hi, if the bus shelter has adverts on it then these are usually cleaned by the company who own's them, round my way they are adshel, often see the same guy cleaning them, he is employed by adshel, they (as far as I know) don't subcontract as  he also puts the new adverts in each week or so, the other shelters without adverts are all owned by the council and are cleaned by a local window cleaning firm using wfp.

Will depend where the bus stops are as to how much cleaning they need. Most near me are never that dirty, but ones in city center's are going to be worse than one's out in the countryside.

I wouldn't wfp it. :-\

Too much margin for someone to touch it or lean against it and ruin it.
Also, puddles in it can't be popular.

Just as quick to squeegee it.
Some people are so lazy!

I clean the bus shelters for our local council

I wfp the whole bus shelter once a year and just glass and framework EOM traditional

Why you may ask because that is how the council wants them done.
