Wondered how much extra you charge for conservatory windows ?
Say you go to a house to give a quote on cleaning the windows. The person has a conservatory. How do you price this up ?
My current method is to price the house windows then add on between £2 - £5 depending on the size of the conservatory.
I find this works well, but was wondering how others did it. There easy to do with all being so close together, straight from one onto the next

yeh i've always wondered this, some customers expect to pay the same as next door when they have not a conservatory, i try to stick to £3 to any quote for any size conservatory, except if they have a full lenth con then i will charge an extra £6, its just like having an extra bungalow attacted to the house.
kind regards

treat 3 panes as 1 window

1 method is to work out how much you charge for a single pane of glass on your houses, and then just count the no. of panes in the conservatory, multiply by your pane price.
I have found over the years that we tended to underprice conservatories, so having a set method helps to get the pricing right.
Another thing I have noticed, is that of the people I have had problems with, it has been customers where I have underpriced the conservatory, therefore given them a good deal, and they have not appreciated this and tried to take advantage.

I price up by counting the windows and multiplying by £/P.
-
if my average for a 3 semi was say 7 pounds then if they had a conservatory it would normally be 12 .if it only has 2 sides then probably 10 and i have no problem them paying, but i do all the frames ,cob webs etc.

if it's an old lady cuppa tea and a kitkat

I have underpriced conservatories since I started in the game many years ago. I realised this when I went WFP and found that on days where I did a lot of them I used 50% more water and earned less.
I now charge £1 for every two panes if they are half bricked, and £1.50 for two full length panes, every two of those full length panes are the same as a patio door.

40p a pane tends to work for me, here in the North West
-
my conserv prices start off at 5 quid, no matter how small
-
n me .lets dont under price r selfs
-
it depends what tree life is around them. more trees, more chance of having spiders, tree leaves etc on the conny which takes its time to clean up if your doing the upvc too.
its why i charge more for 8 weekly than i charge for 4 weekly.

Hi guys
I am very surprised at how low you charge for conservatory, but then again I leave in southeast any way.
90% of time we charge starting price of £60.00 and can go up to £90.00 for just the roof of conservatory, usually Glass roof charge more because of more work involved.
You have to think you are running a business and always think of your overhead first.

Bosh

i simply take a look at the whole thing and price according to how long i think, it would take me to clean it,....
i have an hourly rate in my head ,so i work it out that way.

i think you have read it wrong mate, we mean just cleaning the windows not a conservatory clean for which the prices you said are about right.
